Introduction
Alexander the Great, also known as Alexander III of Macedonia, was a king, commander, politician, scholar ,and explorer and is still known as a great military genius.
Though his rein over the Macedonian empire lasted only through 336 BC to 323 BC, he was still a very influential and inspiring leader, especially when he nearly succeeded in conquering the world. Some of his greatest accomplishments was serving as regent of Macedonia at the age of 16 and putting down the revolt of the Maedi and showing his ability to rule and conquer at a young age.
Born in Pella, the capitol of Macedonia, in July of 336 BC to Philip II and Albanian princess, Olympias, many thought Alexander did not deserve the throne because of his Albanian heritage. Clearly Alexander proved those who believed this were wrong.

conclusion
Alexander the Great died at the age of 33 in June of 323 BC. Though it is unclear how he died officially,(poison or fever), we do know he died in Babylon without naming a successor. Alexander did have two children, Herkales with mistress Barsine and Alexander IV with his first wife Roxane, but sadly, both children died before they reached adulthood while his other two wives, Statiera and Parysatis were not barren.
When Alexander died so did his quest of world domination.
